Since the inception of The Pouch, Inc. in Tucson, Arizona, we have been committed to
utilizing the unique qualities of Neoprene, a product that was developed during World
War II by DuPont. The huge chemical giant was attempting to find a substitute for
rubber, since many of the plantations in the far East had been seized by Japan and
shipping from Brazil, where most of the rubber came from at that time, was jeopardized
by German submarine wolf packs roaming the South Atlantic.

Tires made of Neoprene was not the answer, but other products were developed that
answered the wartime need. About this time, the Navy was looking for something to
protect teams of Navy SEAL demolition experts being trained to clear beaches of
obstructions prior to landings by troops. It had to be waterproof and it had to be
extemely tough. One puncture would very likely end the life of the wearer.
Neoprene provided the solution; the perfect answer. It kept water out and the
body heat in. It was found to be extremely resistant to sharp objects.

Our original supplier is still producing Neoprene for today's Navy Seals. For some
40 years, SCUBA (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) and the recreation
of exploring underwater has contributed to the steady increase in Neoprene production and the growing use of rich, eye-catching colors.

Anyone who has used leather knows how vulnerable it is to water - the principal
reason for our attraction to Neoprene nearly 20 years ago.

We are pioneers in the use of Neoprene for carrying cases. We've made over a million
cases using it in conjuction with some special padding that is bonded to the Neoprene.

Users are impressed by the way our case holds up after years of use.

Our co-product, and equally important to our success, is customer service. Every person
at the Pouch is committed to providing the maximum of care to meet customers' needs

There's something we do owe our customers: "Thank you! We appreciate your business."
